Wamuu (ワムウ Wamū) is an antagonist featured in Battle Tendency.
Wamuu is a proud Pillar Man warrior in the respectful service of his superiors Esidisi and Kars, also serving as a personal rival to Joseph Joestar throughout his journey.
Appearance[]
Wamuu appears as an immense being; powerfully built and very tall. Many of his more detailed drawings have his veins bulging from his extremities. His face is particularly chiseled and square with high cheekbones.
Wamuu wears short, standing light hair and has prominent eyebrows. He has painted or tattooed on his face the thick outline of an equilateral square; crossing his face just under the bridge of his nose; upwards through the middle of each eye. In one particular close-up of his face, the tattoo has the word "POWER" written several times in it, as well as the word "ALPHABET". As a Pillar Man, he has a singular, relatively large drill-like horn above his forehead that he can retract.
In all of his appearances, Wamuu wears large earrings and a metallic head adornment similar to a crown that opens at the front whenever he summons out his horn. Up until his defeat of Caesar, he has a small ring on the left side of his lip containing the antidote for his Wedding Ring.
Abilities[]
Q - "I shall see the wind!" (Now I will shut out the light, and with this horn see only the wind!) - The user gouges out thier eyes and summons their horn for the rest of the battle. They cannot see but the opponents are outlined by red, you can see only yourself, your walkspeed is increased by 50% and your dmg is increased by 25%. The outlines do not show through obstacles so this move is only viable in direct 1v1 in the arena where there are no obstacles. Cannot be canceled after being activated but is canceled after death. Can only use Final Mode: Atmospheric Rift in this mode.
E - Divine Sand Storm - Wamuu's signature technique. The move is initiated when the Wamuu user starts to spin his arms rapidly. The rapid spinning creates a massive wind storm that will cause damage and fling the player if it makes near contact with it.
'R - Powerful Punch: 'With the strength of a pillar! - The player strikes the target with a moderately powerful punch that deals good knockback. Great Damage: 39 damage
T - Head Gear: Raging Tornado Aftermath! - The user will gain hair with blades on the end like in the anime and will spin them for 5 seconds. Any projectiles shot at the user will be reflected back during those 5 seconds. Damage Depends on Projectile
Y - Wind Drill - The Wamuu user will spin rapidly creating a massive wind storm surrounding them making them go fast for a short time. This move is also an offensive move, doing damage when making contact with a player. Can hit multiple times. Great Damage: 30 damage per hit
F - Wind Suit - Wamuu will become invisible, which gives the opportunity to launch surprise attacks. However, the wind suit only lasts for roughly ten seconds. All moves are disabled during Wind Suit except for Z, V, G, H and R. You can still take damage while using the Wind Suit. No damage: N/A
G - Wedding Ring of Death - The Wamuu user launches themselves forward, inserting a Wedding Ring of Death. When inserted, the victim will have 60 seconds to live until the ring's poison kills him. However, if the victim manages to kill the Wamuu user who inserted the ring, he/she will not die. If they have killed the Wamuu user while having the Wedding Ring of Death on them, they will recieve an item called "Antidote." This item can be banked but you have to have been given the Wedding Ring of Death in order to obtain it having killed the Wamuu user. (If the opponent has banked an antidote from a previous fight, they can use it to counter your Wedding Ring. Looks like a small ring) Instantaneous Kill
H - Absorption - The player's walkspeed is slowed by 30% but also takes 30% less damage. Any player or their stand included that comes into contact with the Wamuu user will take 6 dmg per second and healing the Wamuu user by 6 health per second. This lasts for 10 seconds. Incredible Damage: 6 damage per second
J - Go for the throat and lungs! - The user will grab the opponent and slam them down. Similar to KC: AU's Y move but instead of donuting them after the grab you will slam them down. Deals slowness for 1.5 seconds to the opponent.
Q (mode activated) + J - Final Mode: Atmospheric Rift - The user strikes their pose and will kneel down. The wind horn will appear on their head. The user uses the tubes for their wind suit to gather huge amounts of air and compresses it in their lungs. Small tubes will appear on the sides of the player as a cool cosmetic. They will create a "wind blade" that they can control using either their wasd keys in shift lock or in first person. Anyone who gets hit will be slowed down making you able to hit them multiple times or move to a different target. The hits occur every 0.8 seconds You will take 10 dmg per second doing this move. You can not cancel this move until you are under 50% of your HP. Godly damage: 20 dmg per hit
B - "Never stand in my shadow!" - The user will strike their pose and a shadow will appear. If someone walks into the shadow they will be kicked like Kars's kick except backwards toward the shadow. The player will be flung back and ragdolled. The user will be invincible during this time. If not activated the pose lasts for 5 seconds. Useful for escaping barrages due to the fact that it has only 0.5 seconds of startup. Great Damage: 30 dmg initial kick, 10 dmg from flinging impact
V - Wind Dashes - Similar to a stand jump, the player kicks off the ground 3 times with great force, going a good distance ahead of them. You can also combo it with Z, to get a lot of distance.
Z - High leap - The player jumps a great distance upwards, but only a little bit forwards. Has the vampire sound effect not the normal stand jump's.
Z + Hold - Aerial Wind Drill - After using High Jump, the Wamuu user will spin rapidly creating a massive wind storm surrounding him and fall diagonally. You can also strike enemies with this move but it requires alot of aim. (Falls less diagonally and more horizontally than original move.)

Trivia:[]
- Wamuu got added in the game in 9/7/2020 (MM/DD/YYYY), in version 3.0.2h.
- Wamuu is the third Pillar Man to get added into the game. The first was Kars and the second was Santana.
- Wamuu G move can kill bosses in 1 hit.
- The character is frequently referred to as "Wham" to sound exactly like his namesake, however, this is a hypercorrection - while syllables ending with "u" sound are indeed used to substitute for single consonants in Japanese due to its phonetic structure, the name "Wamuu" has an additional "u" at the end, creating a long u sound at the end, and is not identical to the Japanese katakana transcription of its namesake band.
- Wamuu's quotes are: "The time has come. Awaken my masters!", "Become stronger before you decide to face the mighty Wamuu again, child. That way, you can be worthy of my time as I destroy you with honor.", and "To me, only the strong are real! Victory alone is just and admirable..."
